Golly! It’s a long way! Maybe when I was younger a 20+ hour travel time was taken in stride, but now, this is where the ‘grace for the pace’ kicks in. Matt Key (from deepest Yorkshire) was making his first trip with me to the far east. I translated back into English as his ‘ey up!’ accent was new to the Orient! Steve Brown (the original Colonial) was making his 4th return to Singapore. He is committing to the SEAWA vision, willing to attend 2/3 modules.
The purpose of the visit was to begin the final stages of communication to get the first South East Asia Worship Academy (SEAWA) started in May, 2010.
The itinerary was full. We met with Worship Ministries, Church leaders and Pastors; held administration meetings with Tony Seow (Academy 5) who will be the co-ordinator in Singapore; viewed potential residential centres for the hosting of SEAWA. We enjoyed the blessing and support of Bishop Rennis, from St John’s St Margaret’s Church, who is giving massive support and incentive to the whole vision. We ministered in Churches including the Cathedral. We eat some GREAT food!
Some amazing things!
* We have been given Charity Status in Singapore without legal costs being incurred. We have been given the Charity cover of ‘Christian Library Ltd’ a well established and respected Charity in Singapore
* We have the opportunity to host Academy at the Salvation Army Conference Centre, ‘Praise Haven’, where the facilities and spirit of the place are excellent. Final plans are in process.
Andy Bromley will make a visit in the New Year as a final ‘net pull’ – but we are anticipating now a great response from all our connections.

After 37C it was believe me, good to get back to the UK. The heat itself can be energy sapping. Air conditioning is wonderful.
