Colorado Calls…

I caught up with Andy Bromley to find out his new move to the USA...

Andy, great news about your move, what are you going to be doing in Colorado?
Thanks Pete. I've been invited to Woodmen Valley Chapel in Colorado Springs (www.woodmenvalley.org) as their Worship Pastor, which we're really excited about. It's been a few years since I was in this kind of role, so am looking forward to it very much.

What does this mean for Worship Academy?
Well, I'll be taking a few months to get settled in The Springs, probably between 6 to 9 months, then will be traveling with the vision back into the UK and wherever else Chris needs me to be. I'm able to travel 9 times a year and worship training is an important part of my life's call, so you can't get rid of me that easily, even if I'm a few thousand miles away! I think though, this also gives other "sons and daughters" of Chris's ministry an opportunity to step up and carry some of the vision with us, which has always been in our hearts to do.

Could you see there being an Academy in The Springs?
Quite possibly, my heart would be to connect with worship leaders from the region anyway and develop relationships with them. The vision for North America is growing, we're halfway through our first academy in Houston, Texas, with the second academy starting in September 2009. So we'll see how God leads us…watch this space I'd say!

Thanks Andy for sharing what's going on with you and the family, no doubt Maxine and the kids are excited?
Oh yes! Jake can't wait to go fly fishing! The mountains are awesome, I can see me having to learn how to fly fish too! And Charlotte well... she just wants one of those High School Musical lockers!

One last message for everyone who's reading?
Well we'll miss everyone very much. We wouldn't change one thing from our journey, knowing we're richer, stronger people for all we've walked through, the good stuff and the not so good. We know that sacrifice comes in different forms, leaving our friends and family behind isn't easy. But the times we do share will be all the more meaningful now.

We look forward to seeing you all on the journey!
